[for some reason WordPress isn’t letting me add photos, so I only have the previously taken ones below. I’ll try and fix after Christmas]
Every year now it seems I’m talking about a late start to baking, and looking at previous posts, it even seems due to the same issues of work plus travel, so perhaps if we take all that as given, and get into the baking!
Unlike previous years, I was so pessimistic this year about what I might achieve that I didn’t post in advance, so even though this is still (just) before Christmas, it is largely a completed record. Due to my very late start, I’ve again deliberately chosen options that are pretty straightforward to make, and I only made the sugar cookies because my daughter agreed to help ice them 🙂
So, disclaimers made, to the baking! This is shared as I have previously in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
For those of you interested in also trying some Christmas baking, there are many recipes on the blog, some of which you will find in this year’s baking list below, along with a recipes from elsewhere on the web, and a couple from books.
I think of deciding on my baking list as a little like decorating the Christmas tree – use some favourites, ditch a couple that are past their due date, or need a break, and add a couple of new ones.
As always, I’ll be interested to hear any feedback…like which recipes most interest you, and absolutely I’d love to hear about your own Christmas baking favourites!
And if you think you might be going to be the recipient of some Christmas goodies this year, and you want them to be a surprise, then look away now 🙂
